Happy Mother's Day!!

I realize that yet again, I am a bad blogger. I've been in a funk lately and can't seem to kick it. I'll try to do better once things start to settle down around here.

We may be moving this week or next weekend...so hopefully after that I'll update everyone on the big move and how things are going with the house!

Since I don't have much time to write, I'll just add a few pictures to keep everyone happy. Jack's been quite the busy boy lately and it seems we have hit our terrible twos early...fun, fun. I'm thinking he's feeling the stress that Mark and I are feeling, so it's making him a little on edge.

Terrorizing the cat...
Playing in puddles...Playing on the playground and mommy trying a new shot....
Running to mommy after chasing the birds...Mommy was playing around with Photoshop....I LOVE this picture of him!
Last but not least, Happy Mother's Day to all the mommy's or mommy's to be out there! May your children be more well behaved than mine! ha ha!

My bad...

I have been a very bad blogger. I realize I haven't updated since just after Christmas, so I apologize to anyone who has been wondering how our little monkey is.

We had a wonderful New Years with some great friends, games and of course Karaoke. Long story short, Erika and I make a wonderful duet! I unfortunately do not have any pictures of that night. Not only have I been slacking with the blog, but I have also been picture slacking. I need to get my butt in gear. I'd have to say though, aside from my picture and blog slacking, this year has started off much better than last year. I can only hope that it will continue to get better, it can't get any worse.

Of course not long after New Years Mark and I both headed back to work. This is the main reason I haven't been blogging...quarterlies are due for me and Mark is busy with his lesson plans and getting his classroom in order. Things are going well for both of us at work, we both enjoy what we do and I am just very thankful we both have jobs and are able to play our bills.

Jack started his swim lessons the other day and to Mark's and my surprise, he actually enjoyed himself. At first he wanted nothing to do with the pool, but by the end he wanted to get back in. Again, no pictures though. I know, I know....I'm a bad mommy. I did however get a few pictures of his lovely hair after swimming...he definitely is going to have hair like his mommy.
Other than us getting back to work, not much has been happening. Jack is enjoying all his new Christmas toys and is really beginning to talk a lot more lately. His newest word is "bad" and he usually uses it with Marble. Thanks, daddy for teaching him that one. Hopefully I'll have some new pictures from swimming this weekend but for now I leave you with a few of Jack and the toy he was "playing" with this afternoon.

Quick update

So I realize it has now been over a week since I posted. Mainly because not much is going on. Now that Mark and I have started work again, that of course consumes our lives.

Mark is enjoying his job. He still wishes it was a Math position, but he's starting to like it more and more each day. He's got a good group of kids and not too many behavior problems so that is a plus. I think he'll begin to enjoy it more once they actually get more into the curriculum. I am loving my job. Some days it doesn't even feel like work. It's just nice to not have as much stress on me as last year. I think my gray hairs are starting to disappear! =)

Jack is also having a great time at daycare. Michelle has got him on a one nap a day schedule, which I've been wanting to do for a while. She also makes him homemade, healthy meals for breakfast and lunch. He eats better than I could ever feed him! Today they went to the pumpkin patch and Scott took a lot of pictures. Unfortunately they are all on his camera so I can't post any on here. Jack just loved it they said and he even tried to give the goats a kiss. Mark was a little bummed we couldn't bring him there first, but I think no matter how many times we bring him to there he'll love it each time.

I also haven't had much time to take pictures this week, so I'm going to post some pictures of Jack during his first year of life. It's nice to look at how far he has come in the last 14 months. They grow up so fast....

One of the first times he smiled....what a ham!

Loving his new Bumbo seat at 10 weeks old...

Sitting up in the bathtub for the first time...

Wearing uncle Justin's hat...

Standing up all by himself...

Taken a few weeks ago....sick, grumpy and teething doesn't always make for a good picture!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
